TashiSholpa Dance (goodluck dance) is the oldest form of dance in Tibet. the dancers wear a white-beard mask which represents Dupthok (Saint) ThangtongGyalpo, the founder of lhamo/Tibetan opera.
This dance is purposely performed so as to bring good luck and good omens especially to inaugurate special occasions such as construction or opening of a monastery or big official gatherings.
Pleasure has all been ours to have been able to let foreign people know about such a form of dance.
